YUUMMYY. My office LOVES Fred’s. We are an office of 20-30 year old ladies. We highly recommend the Southstreet sandwich and hockey pucks (fried jalapeos). The Po Fred is also great if you don’t eat shrimp. The owners are very sweet also. We eat here once a week at least!

SERVICE IS HORRID
The Philly Cheesesteak is good. The fries are not so great. The restaurant looked like it needed a good cleaning and some TLC but the saving grace was the fact that you could see into the kitchen and it looked clean. They definitely know what they are doing when it comes to the Philly Cheesesteak.

Uses the cheap meat, don’t bother!. Might be like some of the joints in Philly, but they use the breakaway sirloin meat, not the ribeye. The meat was just all crumbled up, cheese was not blended in. If it’s been a long time since you had a real Philly, this will do for a half fix, but it is nothing special. There is a much better Philly place east, southeast of Fred’s, but I do not use this site to direct anyone, after all, we do not get paid by the places we patronize!
