I would have given a star less than 1 if possible . The food was below quality and we were told that we were South Indians and hence we were not aware of how this food was supposed to taste . And it’s too pricey for the display of dishes available .
We have been going to Kebab n Kurry for some 30 years now. Its our staple for Indian food and has seldom disappointed us. We have found a handful of better Indian places but they don’t seem to stay around or maintain their quality.This is a small and simply decorated restaurant in a strip mall in Richardson and has been in the same place for 30 years. They have buffets at lunch and full menus at dinner plus some special occasions on holidays.Perhaps because we have know this place so long but the service always makes us feel like family. An example on a recent visit part of my wife’s meal was too spicy for her. The quickly replaced that part with milder food and got her some riata to cool her mouth. It was quick and nice response to an issue.Their buffet is a standard Indian buffet. It not the same as food ordered from the menu but I can alway find something good, and their soup is perhaps the best Indian soup that I have tried.Their chutneys are good – some mild and some spicy.Their spicy currys (like Vindaloo) are both very flavorful and hot.These days Plano has a lot of Indian places but I haven’t yet found one that I like more than Kebab n Kurry.
