Taiwanese Noodle Soup caf located in Chi-town, Richardson, specializing in soup noodle bowls and bubble (tapioca) tea, and shaved iced desserts. Very average food served in an average environment. CASH ONLY!SIGHT: Forgettable faade and cafeteria interior makes this more appropriate for a quick lunch spot than a dinner.TOUCH: Clean tables, appeared to be newly remodeled. The one menu is a bit sketch so I would just point rather than touch.SMELL: Mixture of Windex and Chinese 5 spice.SOUND: For a weeknight meal, only a few tables were occupied.TASTE: Homemade dumplings- Tasty, hand wrapped with a thicker noodle wrapper filled with pork, cabbage and green onions. The sweet soy dipping sauce made for a pretty good bite.Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup: Plump shrimp filled wontons, tasty broth, baby bok choy and egg noodles made this filling. The bits of pork on top were a bit unappetizing since it included bits of sketchy organ meat as well. My adviceskip the little bits. whiskandtell.com

Overhyped. After reading so many great reviews of this place from multiple sources, I tried it for lunch today and ordered the beef soup with dumplings. It took 15-20 minutes for it to come out and the place wasn’t even that busy. While the soup looked quite good (quite dark), the broth seemed quite bland to me. Seriously, I’ve made beef broth at home with more beef flavor. The dumplings themselves were OK, but certainly not remarkable. Overall—disappointing.
