Best Burgers in the area! Had the Aloo Burger with their tangy mayo. The burger comes loaded with Potato, Avocados, and a mix of awesome combination of onions, tomatoes, jalapenos along with their special tangy mayo sauce. What is also interesting is ambience has certain calm tone to it.
Cold bun from the bag. Overcooked unseasoned fries. Almost burnt onion rings. Prefrozen hamburger patty that was barely warm. White tomato. Mayo out of a squeeze packet. And to top it off some HORRIBLE low grade blues music with extended out of tune guitar solos over crappy speakers. If I was a little bit more of a jerk I would have asked for a refund.
15 minutes for store bought food to be reheated…. Today I went to Chicken Nest Burger for lunch. I have a very short lunch break and when I walked in, I immediately asked how long a to-go order would take. I was told 5 minutes maximum but, over the next 15 minutes, I witnessed some of the worst kitchen techniques I have ever seen. Everyone was like a chicken with it’s head cut off. They were all trying to do eight million things. I saw two plates get dropped in the process and the customer service was less than perfect. A man asked for silverware and she didn’t say a word. She just pointed to the back of the store and she kept telling me to get my drink after I already had.The first thing I saw was a store bought (I could see the label) rotisserie chicken that was being cut up, microwaved, and glazed with their sauces. If I wanted a grocery store chicken, I would have gone to Walmart. Next, pre-made egg rolls were taken out and microwaved. The rice and noodles were all pre-cooked and in tupperware dishes scattered all over the kitchen. This is probably why my rice was not only bland and doused in soy sauce, but also mushy and over cooked from being cooked and reheated. The chicken was rubbery (likely from being microwaved), and the vegetables were, no doubt, previously frozen. I really wish they would focus more on the quality of the food and ingredients. This place has the potential to be a great restaurant, but bad techniques killed the experience for me. I will stick to Mr. Wok next time.
They claim to be the best in Plano.. They may be.. I went in today and got the $4.99 lunch deal (Sandwich, fries and drink). It is hard to live up to the Scotty P’s chicken sandwich, but it comes very very close. It is about half the price though, so maybe that puts it over the top. It is obviously owner managed and run. The family is very nice, smiling and talkative.
