This place was something better than my visit to other south Indian places in DFW region. Potato curry with Masala dosa is sufficient for you to order another plain dosa. The coconut chatni is nice but sambhar is horrible. Its not even close to what sambhar tastes or looks like. With all the odds and even, this place is preferable over Hot Breads.

Interesting Chaat menu (Indian street food/snacks) is the secondary star but still delicious, especially for the adventurous. Expect dosas the size of baseball bats (or a 2x4x24)!SIGHT: Long expansive counters, with several tables for order at the counter service.SOUND: Traditional Native Waitstaff that are friendly and happy to explain the menu.TOUCH: Clean-ish.SMELL: N/ATASTE:Papdi chaat- broken crispy rice cakes covered with cilantro water and yogurt. Sprinkled with garbanzo beans and fresh cilantro. Refreshingly savory, creamy, fresh and sweet all in one bite.Masala dosa- Indian crepe prepared buttery crisp on the outside and filled with seasoned potato (similar filling to a samosa) on the inside. Delicious and enough to serve 2 people. Side of coconut chutney was jarred and not homemade Sambar- complimentary sambar which is a Indian lentil soup. Has similar flavor profiles to that of chili tomato broth spiked with cumin and garam masala.Milk Cake- Dense and crumbly, with a hint of sweetnessPesta barfi- pistachio flavor milk cake that is dense and sweet and delicious.Ladoo- round shaped dessert made from flour, sugar and ghee.. one of their best sellers. whiskandtell.com
Extremely rude stuff. I have been to Royal sweet Plano location and i have never experienced worse service in my entire life. The lady who was making chaats was probably did not want to be there. She made everything opposite to what i asked for as in i asked for no onions she added onions in all three chaats i ordered and she has been extremely rude when i complaint and told me that’s how they make it …. Worst place ever. Shame of you for such bad customer service
Great food, but THE WORST SERVICE I have seen outside of my travels. Filthy tables that are not cleaned, wait staff with an attitude, and a general not my problem outlook. You have to ask for everything including paper napkins. Its good to be king royal sweets..but remember that your customers got you there. This can change just as easily.
