Ordered the Tipico Plate: cheese and bean pupusa with coleslaw on the side for topping, one chicken Tamal, one corn tamale, fried plantain and fried cassava (think non-potato fries). All washed down with a giant cup of horchata.Dang Im full: all of it was delicious.Wait staff are friendly and helpful, if a bit slow.

Diamond in the rough. This is why I go off the beaten track to find food. Okay, so it’s not a fancy atmosphere… But damn the food is good. I was leary of the pedia (dough pizza like bread with meat backed into it) but now my diet is in Jeopardy. The hot sauces served is squeeze bottles have soo much flavor. The chicken tamale was really good, despite the white meat being ever so dry. They have a tamale thats basically all tamale dough that’s served with a sour cream like sauce that is so tasty (tasty… don’t know about health)I plan on going back to try the steak and shrimp dishes. When I see low avg. Reviews of a place like this it makes me sad. I think they may be a victim of modern taste buds not knowing what food really tastes like, aversion to vegetables, and picky palettes. Or maybe the dowdy atmosphere. It’s all about the food for me

Great find. I’ve been around the block and these were some of the best pupusas and tamals i’ve had in quite a while. The green sauce was mild but absolutely packed with flavor and the red sauce had a very nice kick. The pupusa was not greasy and just the right amount of crispy. Moderate price for salvadoran food (still cheap overall in other words), but def worth it. The pork tamal was muy rico. The waiter was very friendly and chatty and spoke almost flawless ingles.
