Good food, disappointing service. I have eaten here for lunch many times but will not be going back after my experience today. The menu clearly states that you can choose between beef, chicken, and tofu for your meal but if you add shrimp it will be $3 extra. I ordered a $7.95 lunch special and asked for shrimp and tofu. Instead of getting a bill for $10.95 it was $12.95. When I asked about the charge, I was told it was because I asked for the shrimp first. I have never had that happen before, and it took some convincing to get them to redo my bill. I had also told them when I ordered my Thai Iced Tea that It didn’t taste right – was not very sweet and the milk almost tasted spoiled. The waitress told me that it is supposed to be sweet and that the milk was changed that day. I told her that I know how it is supposed to taste and I did not want the drink. She did not offer to replace it, and she ended up charging me for it at the end!
World’s Best Curry?. Seriously, their curry is amazing, as is their Tom Kha Shrimp and house sake. Strongly recommended!
Is there a worst company than Sawadika Thai Zone?. I got the worest service from this restaurant. Before going there, think twice. I won’t be there again.
Really nice decor and atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food!
Impressed on my first visit. My wife and I tried this place for the first time at lunch today. I’m certainly not a Thai food expert, but we found the food fresh and tasty. It was bustling at lunch, with some obvious business day regulars that were greeted by the staff. The wait staff was polite and attentive, and the food arrived quickly enough. We’ll definitely be back.
Don’t go to this thai place late at night. I went with two friends around 9:20 PM on tuesday night and the restaurant was empty except for 2 people. The waitress asked if this is TO GO or to eat in. We said eat in and her manner changed immediately. She was rude and left 3 menus on a table and asked us to sit. I said excuse me and asked if we could sit at a round couch table as there was more free space for us to sit and chat. She immediately got more rude and said that is for 5 people and so we cannot sit there. I said the place is empty so what does it matter and she said it’s the rule and asked us to sit at a smaller table. We just walked right out and did not even bother to sit down as who knows what she would have done with our food given she was already so pissed off!So moral of the story is don’t go here too close to 10 PM at night as this one waitress for sure is not happy to serve and not aware of customer service and how one behaves no matter what the time. I am surely not going to go and will not recommend to my friends either.
Don’t let the location fool you. I love this place. Clean, great service, and really good food. The Thai Basil was a wonderful dish as was the Pad Thai. I have yet to order a bad dish. On our last visit – we tried the coconut ice cream for dessert and it was veryyy sweet but veryyy coconutty! Coconut flakes with every spoonful!
