You can’t miss this place. It is the only pink building for miles around. Open from 10-3 Monday through Saturday, Cuco’s offers about a dozen or so sandwiches, from the delicious Cubano (ham, salami, cheese and mustard) and pressed panini style to grilled cheese and BLT’s on loaf bread. Chicken sandwiches and hamburgers are at the ready as well. Oh, and they do breakfast burritos and sandwiches too. My Cubano was on a good, thin telera style bread nicely filled with meat. They were out of tostones for a side, so I decided on some black beans. They were very good, served up with a good amount of sauce. They were very tender but not mushy. Although not on their menu they have a sign that says that they prepare medianoche sandwiches, which is like the Cubano, but served on a sweetened egg bread, like Challah. Finally they have daily plate lunch specials.Cuco’s is not large, but have about ten two-top tables. You can always move some tables together if you have a large group. Cuco’s offers raisin bread pudding and flan which you can see in the refrigerated case as you enter. They also have a small grocery area which is filled mostly with Goya products for purchase. This is strictly order at the counter and grab a seat kind of place. Get your drinks from the brand-new Coke dispenser or order a flavored beverage in a glass bottle from the refrigerated case. Cuco’s is definitely a keeper.
