Good barbecue is hard to find in North Texas. I know that may sound strange given the fact that it’s Texas, Having said that, Hard Eight has yet to fail to deliver. Good cuts of meat, smoked perfectly, that are moist and delicious. Try the chicken poppers.

Yum!. Love Hard Eight BBQ. Prime rib dipped in garlic butter is so amazing. I also love the regular sausage, brisket, and jalepeno poppers (chicken or shrimp). For sides, the jalapeo sweet corn is very good. For dessert, the Oreo mud pie is just delicious!! I enjoy seeing the BBQ pits. Fun experience, great food, great atmosphere.

Not BBQ. Grilled meat is not barbecue. Change your name or buy a smoker.

Enjoy the Setting – Good Food. Hard eight has a tailgate feeling to it. The large open smoker is used to warm and serve the various meats. Most of them are very good. I have had some visits where brisket is a bit fatty. I have also had visits where the meat is cold. The fans overhead will cool off your meat quickly. My favorite dishes are bacon-wrapped chicken poppers, brisket, spicy sausage & the free pinto beans. The large pot of beans is self serve by the drinks. They are peppery. Add some of your brisket and it’s even better.
