Quail great
Our first visit to Los Molcajetes, in 2014 was not a very good experience, now in 2016 it was wonderful. Both my wife and I had the Huevos Rancheros which were some of the best we have had in the last ten years. The chips were fresh and so lite; the salsa was also fresh with an outstanding taste. Service was some of the better you get today. Glad we went back..
Don Taco now Los Molcajetes. Don Taco was a concept from the same people behind Los Molcajetes and Mi Pueblo, but I think due to brand confusion, they renamed this Los Molcajetes. Don Taco is counter service and Los Molcajetes is a full service restaurant (like this one).So I’m leaving it here, and just changing the name. Everything is the same otherwise (phone number, etc…) + they are now using the Los Molcajetes menu. regularjoesguide.blogspot.com
The first reviewers must have gone when they first opened – no paper plates, and free chips and salsa like every other restaurant. We like this place, been there only about 4x but would go back. Salsa is great, nice thick chips, good food – no complaints. If you can go in decent weather, the patio is HUGE and great especially if you have loud kids. I believe they have breakfast too – haven’t tried it yet though but I bet it’s good. Try it, it’s a good little Mexican food place…not a date night place, but good food if you are looking for an every-day type eating place.
This place is for real. If you want straight up really good Mexican food this is the place. A really family friendly place to have a beer if you want. The salsa is amazing and that’s free before your meal. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.
Affordable price for food. Nice patio seating area and the employees are really friendly.
Over priced tacobell. Food is mediocre and the service is just like going to a fast good place. You order at the counter get your own drink and plasticware. That’s right paper plates baby. If the prices were more on target with the quality of food and level of service it would still only be just ok. In Roanoke if you want Mexican food that’s good drive to the Christina’s in Trophy Club. If you want REALLY good Mexican food drive to Animia’s in South Lake. But if you’re among the sheeple that don’t mind paying for mediocrity Don Taco is your place.
