Seriously the best!. Since 2008 I have been using this bakery. I used them for my wedding cake, which I got nothing but compliments on till this day! They ladies that own it are wonderful and I have never had a single complaint! I order every birthday, anniversary, and anything else from them! Their German chocolate is to die for, their cakes are not heavy and over sweetened like some bakeries in the area! There prices are also the most reasonable! I love these ladies!
Unprofessional -STAY CLEAR!!!. I am glad to read I wasn’t the only person in the world that Mugs has treated poorly and unprofessionally. I thought I would support a local bakery instead of going into Southlake to Delicious Cakes like I usually do. So, I stopped in on a Friday afternoon a couple of months ago told them what I needed for my son’s birthday which I ordered a week in advance. I show up 2hrs before his birthday at the requested time to pick up the cake. It was an Ironman cake, which they said they could do no problem. I get there and they completely forgot my order. They were like we can have it ready in 20 mins. They whipped out some pre-made tasteless cake (apparently they make extra just in case this happens!! WARNING SIGN!!) and did the quickest and ugliest Ironman mask I have ever seen. My son was horrified and asked me who it was on the cake it was so disfigured. I had asked for a specific icing and cake, NONE of it was correct. They apologized half heartedly and laughed it off (literally giggled, ugh) but still I paid full price. It was completely unprofessional and ridiculous. I would never entrust them again to handle any bakery needs. If you need a special occasion cakes that a Kroger/Albertsons can’t handle go to Delicious Cakes in Southlake, a bit pricey but the cakes are WELL worth it along with excellent customer service. A very professional feel and atmosphere, not some sloppy second rate bakery with tasteless cakes.
Wonderful. I am a long time customer of Mugs and I love everything that I have ever gotten there. The brownies that are topped with whip cream and covered in chocolate are probably one of my all time favorite deserts. Their strawberry cake with cream cheese frosting was a HUGE hit when I got it for a baby shower. I have never not liked anything and I reccomend them to all of my friends and family. I travel to Roanoke a lot for family and I always try to stop in and get a treat! Sandra and Kim are amazing cake decorators and never leave me disappointed with their work!
I LOVE MUGS!. I have used Mugs Bakery for ten years now. I used them for my wedding, my parents 25th anniversary, baby showers and many birthday parties. My family and friends have always asked about the cakes and my grandma LOVES them. Their shop is very small but so peaceful. I like their sandwiches and have never had a soup of theirs that I did not like. My husband stops for breakfast and coffee several times a week. My 3 year old loves to go in and check out the cool cakes they design and grab a cookie. They are AWESOME! Thank you Mugs!
You havent had Cake till you have tried mugs cakes. For every family gathering we order the fresh strawberry custard with chocolate on top. Such an amazing cake. The owner and her daughter have always been extremely helpful even when I call last minute for a cake. They have always made sure we were happy with their product and would go out of their way to ensure their customers happiness.
!ATTENTION BCNARO!. I would like to start off AGAIN by saying sorry that we did not meet your excpectations. I would like to correct some of what was said in your review. The problem here is not that we do not take pride in what we do(we have been in business for 16 years, must be doing something right), but that there was miscummunication between us. This is called being human. I asked when you called what it was that I could do to make you happy your replay was you did not know. I offered to stay after hours that friday or open up early the next morning to redecorate your cake. We made plans for you to come at 7 am Saturday, you didn’t show up. We take pride in trying to please every customer in every way possible.
Complete Mug’s Treatment!. My daughter and I went to Mugs for her 13th birthday cake. No Walmart cake for this birthday, we wanted this to be special. We explained what we wanted and, in the fashion of Cake Boss, the owner and her daughter or daughter in law took a few notes, made a few suggestions, and turned out a fantastic cake that everybody loved. The taste was great and the artwork was fantastic and whimsical, just as I had wanted. We, also, had the opportunity before picking up the cake to eat lunch at Mugs and were happy with that, also. Select breads and salads (chicken), along with coffee’s and soda’s. My daughter had chicken salad on croissant and I had chicken salad on sourdough bread. I will be going back!
