Pies so good will be back
Small Place, Big Desserts. Dessert sounded good, and what better place than Oak St. Pie & Candy Co? It is difficult to find a place that sells pies, whole or by slice. Tippin’s is gone, and the only other places that come to mind are Dixie House Cafe and the Swiss Pastry Shop. They had about fifteen pies in their case including a blueberry pie. I asked about rhubarb and they had one in the oven, but it wasn’t ready. I settled with the blackberry cobbler. This cobbler was so good! I am so glad they didn’t dump tons of sugar in the filling. It was sweet but not overly so. The filling consisted of lots and lots of blackberries in a thin semi-sweet juice.. This was the real deal. I had a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and that just made it that much better. I don’t remember seeing any candy in the shop. My radar was set on pies and I hit the mother lode.

They catered our breakfasts and lunches at the Texas motor speedway four four days. Everything was wonderful. Great combinations and will fill even the most hungry of appetites.
When they are open. This place food is good , but we are getting little frustrated about the hours .In the door they got different hours than on the website Sometimes will be just drive in and found out they are out of almost everything on pies So , if you want something specific , better contact ahead on time , place Ur order and double check if they will be open We live around the corner and subscribe right the way when they open , thinking is a goo option for some sweets 3 times in 1 weeks we were disappointed ….
Awesome Pie. Moved to Texas about 8 months ago and found Oak St Pie company. It’s really really good. The staff is very friendly and nice. The pie is awesome, best pecan pie I’ve ever had. The cobbler is great, the portions are generous enough that my wife and I will sometimes split an order. They also sell fudge that’s very very good. They have a huge variety and the’ll let you sample to see what you like. Strongly recommend them.
