Great Value, Great Taste. I’ve never had anything bad at Reno Red’s. Everything on the menu is good. I love the informal atmosphere and the great cooking. The chicken fried chick is my favorite — beats most every other place I’ve had it. From fish to chops to steaks, Reno Red’s does it right for the down home place it is.

The ribeye was good. Atmosphere rustic and laid back. Service good. I like that they support Texas Brewers and distillers. Felt compelled to comment since the few don’t likes sounded like cheapskates. Worth your dollars and not pricey.

Grilled Chops. First time over the weekend, the grilled chops were good.

Good Variety. Reno Red’s is my favorite place to eat in Roanoke. My favorites are the BBQ chicken, catfish, pork chops, burgers, and chicken fried chicken. Their pecan cobbler is awesome…when they have it! It’s nice to have something besides tacos. Roanoke has way too many taco places! It’s also much easier to find a parking space in their large parking lot…unlike other places on Oak Street. My only complaint is that they’re really limited on times and days that you can use their coupons. But of all the many times I’ve eaten there, only once did I get less than great food. That was when I ordered grilled chicken that was too tough, which happens to me sometimes when I cook it at home.

Gross. The ribeye: thin and poor quality. The chicken fried chicken (recommended as best thing on the menu by waitress) was also not good; the breading tasted awful and so did the gravy. At least the iced tea wasn’t terrible. The black haired waitress was sweet. The strung out older waitress was not.The hostess was young and clueless.I’m bummed we wasted a meal there… And $36 plus tip.
