  Great service but the food is only so-so at best. Very overpriced for what you get. Nice ambiance but with large group it became very noisy.

  Disappointing Experience. I do not write reviews regularly and when I do, I typically dont like to write negative reviews. With that said, our experience last night at The Classic was very negative. I had heard great things and decided to give them a try. I made reservations for 7:15 PM. My wife and I arrived around 7:10 and were not particularly greeted with a warm reception. We were shown to our table, which was a small 2 top table in a very loud and over-crowded room. I was a little annoyed, since right next to us was a four top table and I am not a small person. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought they might be holding that table for a party of three or four. About 20 minutes after we were seated, they sat another couple at that table. When the server came over and greeted us he was not very friendly and seemed distracted. He told us the specials and I ordered a mixed drink. When he came back, we ordered (both of us ordered steak medium well and my wife order sauted crab on top). When they started to bring us our food, even the person helping the server bring out the food made the comment that they would have to make room and all we had was two steaks, one side, our drinks, and some bread on the table. When we both cut into the steak, they were tough to cut and we realized that both of our steaks were well done (no pink in the middle at all). As my wife was eating her crab, she found a couple of small pieces of crab shells. The server rarely even looked at our table and at this point we both just wanted to eat what we could of our steaks and get out of there. I usually order desert, especially when it is a special occasion, but I wasnt expecting it to be any better than the meal. We got our check and were both very disappointed at the amount compared to the food quality and service. We could have gotten a tough steak, bland crab (with shell pieces) and a watered-down drink at dozens of places at half the price, the service was okay at best, and the restaurant was so noisy we could not even have a conversation. Based on the previous reviews and the price of the restaurant, I was hoping for a much better experience. I really want to support local businesses, but based on our experience we will not be returning.
