Our party called ahead for reservations and were told they didnt make reservations for parties over 6. When we arrived, they told us the wait would be 30-45 minutes and we agreed. It was an HOUR & 15 minute wait. We asked the waitress what the manager could do for waiting double the amount promised when there were EMPTY tables in the back. She agreed those tables has been open all morning. She relayed the message to the manager. But….The manger did NOT come to the table and gave a message to the waitress that we should have made reservations. When we explained we had tried and were told we couldnt make reservations, the waitress was great and tried to accommodate us… gave us our kid drinks and coffee for free. However the manager did not seem interested in making it right. As far as the food, my burger was burned and another member in my party got the wrong eggs and just a drizzle of gravy for biscuits and gravy.
The burgers here are delicious. One of the best around. That being said the service is always awful unless sitting at the bar. Or at least by the same young guy who always seems to be working. We’ve showed up twice with over an hour before closure and he has both times said they closed early when people are clearly in the place eating. Been in the service industry for years and I saw this as a lazy waiter being able to make decisions that’s going to cost the place money. Another time he was our waiter and the service was so bad it made me not want to come back. Type of worker that’ll make this place go under and hope the owner does something about it. I know we aren’t the only ones who’s had problems like this and seems to be the same guy our friends have had problems with. Wouldn’t be surprised if they go under because of staffing choice. I know I’m not the first to complain about this guy or service.
