This is one of the best fried seafood places around. The catfish, spicy or regular, is phenomenal. The fried shrimp taste fresh and are large. Its not fancy, its in a shopping strip, and sometimes the wait for the food is somewhat extended – but it has always come out hot and fresh and good. If youre a fan of cornbread, try the fried cornbread.
Surprise! This was a great catch today. The catfish was delicious, the home made style sides are delicious. I was too full to try the desserts but i heard that people come especially for them. We’ve been in Rockwall 10 years. Used to eat at Cajun Catfish and theres not been another place since it closed for good catfish. I highly recommend you try it and never mind the location. 😉
Tried Z’s for the first time tonight and it is DEE-licious!!! I’ve heard nothing but good things and I wasn’t disappointed. I tried the spicy, fried lobster tail, collard greens and fried cornbread. Yummy! I can’t wait to go back and try more. The service is also worthy of 5 stars if not more. Everyone was so friendly and it was obvious they care about their customers.
