When you are in US, you can’t miss South Indian food. The perfect place for ones who can’t adjust to International food during their travel. Dosas, Idly and other South Indian main course is delicious.

Chennai cafe specializes in serving authentic south Indian cuisines.Recently, my husband and I came by to have a quick meal in the evening. We were served with complimentary frayams upon placing the orders and while waiting for our food. The cafe is nice and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive to all the customers. We had Idly wada combo(steamed rice cakes and lentil donuts), masala dosa(Mashed potato stuffed crepe), and coffee. Idlis were soft and fluffy, Wadas were soft inside and crispy on the outside. The dosa was awesome, crisp and fresh. Sambar(Veg Stew) and chutneys were pretty tasty and served well in a stainless steel Plate. South Indian filter coffee was indeed a treat! It was a nice meal, served well on time and pricing is moderately high.
My first dosa experience in US – and it was a good one. We also ordered gobi 65 and chili paneer for starters. I had a masala dosa which was served with sambhar, coconut chutney, coriander chutney and the red sauce. I think the dosa was well prepared and took me back to the A2B days in Chennai. Worth a visit when ever you are missing South Indian food.
