Favorite place for Taco salad, queso and guacamole. And cheap!14 Aug, 2013Quintessential cheap but amazing Mexican place.06 May, 2013Chips were fresh but slightly overcooked. Salsa was authentic but too spicy for my taste. Chicken taco was huge and really good. The lime was a nice addition but the shredded chicken contained too much ground up bone. Hopefully that’s not normal. The guacamole was incredible. I would come back just for that. The waitress was quick and friendly and everything was hot and fresh. Great snack before the dollar movies….
Ssdfg. Just nasty. Cold beans and rice, watery salsa, filthy bathrooms, rude ass waitress that barely spoke English, double charged for my Coke and, to top it all off, was told to leave more than a $5 tip due ME being a problem. HAHAHA! I left a tip but not more than $5 on an $8 meal. Get lost!!!
Really like this place. The food is great, you get a lot for little $$$.They now charge for chips and salsa and the salsa is hot.Yes, there are chicken bones in the shredded chicken. I stick with the ground beef. The tostadas are huge and have everything on them including avocados; love them. This is what I always get. The enchiladas are good as well.I’ve never had them add the tip to the bill automatically.
Picked up my to go order a very rude lady Maria horrible customer service. She needs to learn the principles of dealing with customers not just her FOOD
Great service and delicious breakfast. The migas plate was perfect.
Not impressed. This was a very disapointing meal for a place that I chose based on the high ratings (88% at the time) on the site here. Going in the inside is not impressive looking, it’s a hole in the wall – but for good, true Mexican food that can be a plus to me. The chips and salsa did not get it off to a good start however. The chips were large, heavy and obviously bought in and of low quality. The salsa had a smoky undertone that was nice, but was very bland and tasted watered down as if to stretch it. Not much flavor at all to it. On the plus side, you do get alot of food for your dollar. The corn tortillas, though i would prefer them warmed/toasted were actually fairly decent. I ordered a combo plate that came with a choice of two meats, refried beans, rice, lettuce, and three slices of avocado (which was fresh and a nice inclusion). For my meats I chose lengua (a personal favorite) and carne guisada. The plate came piled very high, and at 6.99 was a real value. The beans were pretty fair. The rice was overcooked and dry. The lengua was somewhat tender, but very bland and lacking of any real kind of flavor. The carne guisada came in nice, large chunks and was cooked very tender, but again almost completely devoid of flavor in either the meat or the sauce it came in.
Took my family there and will NEVER go back there again! They may be cheap but you get what you pay for! Food was not fresh, the waitress was extremely rude and inattentive and 2 out of the 5 forks we got had dried food on them. Don’t eat here!!
