NO QUALITY OF SERVICE. I called in 3 orders and was told the orders will take 15-20 minutes. 25-30 minutes later, my order was ready. Sadly, after arriving back at work, I noticed the order was not complete, the plates were smashed by a heavy plate and then there was salsa spilled on my lunch which got on my clothes. I called to complain and spoke to the manager on duty Silvia about the above mentioned. She spoke in a cold tone that the food was packed correctly and they are not responsible for the items after it leaves the store. She offered to refund one of the meals and I accepted. **WOW** Where is the customer service? Why quote me a time and then not comply? Why put heavy items on top of lighter items? Where did the quality go? Can anyone answer that?

Ok this is my first time here. Service: right on point. Sweet, attentive and timely. Our drinks and chips stayed full. Food: I got the shrimp romanos…awesome! Creamy sauce, sizzling shrimp, the beans are great. Tortillas however…I honestly wanted to stop mid-meal and run to HEB for wayyy better tortillas. They were stiff, dry and leathery. atmosphere: festive. Booths everywhere so there’s no tables on top of each other. Spacious. Drinks: everybody in the place had a Marg. I don’t drink but from my observation, they must have been good

My family and I love this place. It is our go-to for any event. The fajitas romanos are DELECIOUS. This place is so underrated when you compare it to the hype that Chuy’s gets. One negative would be the drink prices, $11 for a Beer-Rita? Really?

Dynamite Chips/Salsa/Green Sauce; Average Food. Typical Tex-Mex fare:Price: $6.99 entree, $1.99 tea with free refills, $1 a la carte flour tortillas (3)Chips/Salsa: Excellent! Medium-thick chips served with roasted salsa (I’m not usually a fan of this kind, but theirs is awesome!) and green sauce. Green sauce was very tasty. Neither sauces were very hot at all, but I have a high tolerance for heat.Tea: Excellent! When I go to a Mexican food restaurant, I look for three things: their quality of tea, chips/salsa, and tortillas, and Morelia was right on the money two out of the three times, and we all know two outta three ain’t bad! The tea was very strong and robust…just the way I like it!Entree: I had the cheese enchilada plate with a side order of flour tortillas. Plate came with two enchiladas (a bit disappointing considering their size, which was a bit small), rice, refried beans, guacamole, and pico. The enchiladas were ok, a little on the bland side, and there wasn’t much cheese. Sad, since I am a admitted turophile. The rice and beans were pretty good, except the portions were quite small. Guacamole and pico were pretty tasty, just small portioned as well. I think the best description for the plate was that it was just small, although I really can’t complain for a $6.99 price. The a la carte order of flour tortillas came with three to the order, and were homemade. They were pretty good, but again, a bit small.Service: Outstanding! My waitress was so sweet and showed a great deal of skill handling the section she was given. She balanced her duties fantastically and always had a refill pitcher ready for my tea. She addressed me as sweetie and was just as nice as could be.Atmosphere: Very nice –a buzzing, cozy place with a nice, cheery ambiance. The hostess accommodated my wish to be sat in a booth, which was a plus.

Average food. Our first visit we really loved it. But since going back a few more times it has seemed to go downhill. The food isn’t always as hot as it should be. Their enchilada’s are ridiculously thin and skinny. The flavors of their enchilada’s is ok. Their chicken fajita meat is pretty good. But let me tell you, do NOT get a tamale plate there. Their tamales are nothing close to authentic. They are the size of burritos, dry, and a big fat masa blocks. I may still go if in a pinch. Their handicapped accessibility needs WORK… the parking is on the back/side of it and I have to enter through the rear entrance. If trying to go around to the front along the sidewalk, they do not have those parking blocks that prevent people from parking the fronts of their vehicles over the top of the sidewalk. So I can never enter through the front entrance because peoples vehicles block the sidewalk all the way around.

This is a family favorite. Parking is kind if a pain during busier times. My fav is the chicken tostadas or chimichanga. Can be a bit loud when they have live music, but just ask to sit a little further from the band. Great food good service.

GREATEST Mexican Restaurant. The Morelia grill is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten in, if your focus is on food rather than atmosphere.. I am 66 years old and have lived in the Austin area over thirty years. I have eaten often in Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants all over TX, NM, CA and all over Mexico itself. In neighborhood spots, high end city restaurants, tourist meccas in resort areas, and famous family places. None come up to the quality, variety, and value of the food at Morelia Grill. The restaurant building is undistinguished. You come in and step around a giant fountain to one of their 25 or so tables covered in plastic. You are immediately given fresh hot chips, a tasty red tomato salsa and a creamy avocado alternative dip.Their menu is HUGE! There are dozens of dishes we have never seen before. There are also quail, a variety of seafood as well as the usual fajitas, moles, burritos, enchiladas, tacos, chimichangas etc. etc. We have eaten there about 15 times so far and usually order the dishes that we never see anywhere else. Our particular favorite is Pollo Rio: two large boneless grilled chicken breasts topped with a pile of shrimp and a tangy cheese sauce It covers a big plate and is served with fresh made tortillas and all the usual fajita fixins including some excellent charro beans. The dish is also made with tilapia. There are about twenty other such esoteric dishes that come very close in deliciousness. We have never had anything there but a fabulous meal. The have guitar music on the weekends and always serve some very tangy $3 margaritas. In Round Rock on the north side of Route 79 (aka Palm Valley) about one mile east of IH35.
