We stopped at the Macaroni Grill in Round Rock, TX for lunch. I should have known better when I noticed the restaurant had only six tables filled during the height of lunch hour! My first mistake- I should have turned around and left. My second mistake was accepting a wine sample from the waitress. I took two sips of their red wine which tasted sour. Needlessly to say I didn’t order a glass. The waitress took our order and it took an hour to get our food. I literally fell asleep waiting to be served. The waitress said the computer went down, and the kitchen never got our order. The manager never even came out to make it right. Finally, after being served, midway through the meal I started feeling nauseous. The wine had turned and came back to haunt me. I got sick shortly after leaving the restaurant. If I could give this restaurant a negative score I would. Absolutely do not eat here, between the terrible service and food/beverage that makes you sick, diner beware!

We had a weird experience there last night and definitely will not be going back. To begin with, the food was bland and I honestly felt that I could cook better pasta at home. The strange part of our experience was when we went to pay for our meal. I gave the waiter my credit card and when he brought back the receipt to sign my credit card wasn’t there. We couldn’t get his attention so we finally walked up to him to ask about it and he pulled it out of his back pants pocket and basically said my bad! I at least figured he forgot it at the register but he had put it in his pants…not apron…pants pocket!! Talk about weird end to a bad meal. I would not recommend this place and will definitely not be going back.
Meh. Extremely overpriced for the portion size, potatoes tasted like soap, bad experiences overall. Won’t ever be going again.
Really good food and fun atmosphere. I enjoy their free bread with olive oil, plus many of their menu items.
