This is the second time we have been to a Rudy’s, different locations, and we have not been disappointed. I love their Cream Corn, and Hubby really likes their Brisket. We highly recommend Rudy’s if you are looking for good Texas Barbeque in a very casual picnic style atmosphere!

Rudy’s was not at all on my travel radar, but I had an evening to spend with an old yelp pal and when she claimed it as her favorite Texas barbecue joint, I was obviously going to be down.Rudy’s did *not* disappoint. As a newbie you get to try any of the meats (minus the ribs) and any of the fixin’s you want before you need to buy, which means you get to make sure you’re getting your favorite cuts. They have three different beef brisket options – extra moist, cutters choice, and extra lean. I tried the smoked turkey too, but it didn’t hold a candle to any of the cuts of brisket. The extra moist was my favorite – incredibly marbled and rich, so a little bit of meat goes a long way in flavor. For under $10 I got 1-2 sandwich’s worth of brisket, buttery new potatoes, and a lime topo chico. It was heavenly. The bbq sauce left in bottles on all the tables has deep flavor – just the right amount of acid and just the right amount of heat, and if you’re into super rich foods, you should cap your meal off with the creamed corn. Too intense for my blood, but the fraction of a bite I had was awfully tasty.

When in Texas, it’s all about the beef! How I this place for the barbecue and the amazing barbecue sauce it has to offer (considering the fact that I now live in a beef-deprived state, I miss Rudyard all the more). The brisket is moist and way above average. The creamed corn is great too. It’s a perfect place to grab a beer or two (or 6) and chill with some amazing bbq. Can’t wait to be back!

Rudy’s is a classic barbecue spot all throughout Texas. They are fairly wide spread and everyone loves them. Rudy’s serves up good barbecue in a country cafeteria style. Grab an ice cold beer, pop a squat on a picnic table, order some brisket, and sway along with the country tunes.

My wife and I have eaten at over a dozen Rudy’s locations. This is one of the top stores we have eaten at. Excellent brisket and chicken plus great creamed corn. Friendly service. We will be back.

BBQ sauce is good. Mustard potato salad is good. The beans, we had to add bbq sauce to make them ok.

Yumminess. Moist brisket and amazing sides. The best potato salad I have ever had!
