The carne guisada puffy taco is simply amazing! The meat is flavorful, rich, and incredibly tender-delicioso! The piccadillo gordita was good and flavorful but I would eat a platter of carne guisada if I could fit more in my belly! Tio Dan stacks up against any puffy taco place in San Antonio. My husband devoured his beef fajita gordita and carnitas gordita too! The food is exceptionally tasty, go there now!
Yuck nothing but grease!! Go else where for ur money!! Didn’t even finish my food!! Tacos with potatoes taste like freezer burn!! Never again!!
GREAT puffy tacos! We had chicken! Not so fond of the carnita taco my son ordered- but in the future, we will ALL order the puffy tacos. Request sour cream instead of guac!
Bad service. Food is great as usual but service is lacking. They forgot half my plate I called to let them know and all I got was come back tomorrow
Please note i made some typos in my review. It should be spice not pice and the tea was cold, not old! The queso was warm and cheesy with just the right amount of pice and the chips are warm, fresh, thin and crisp. The tea was refilled promply and old and fresh and my caldo was really good, chuck full of cabbage, carrots, potato, and zuchini and tnder chunks of beef. The broth was very tasty! The corn tortillas were flavorful. The young woman that waited on me was very nice and a very efficient waitress who checked on me often. I will frequent Tio Dan’s since i live lose by, just sorry i waited so long to try it. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the restaurant could use some updating,however it was very clean.
Delicious! We have been there approximately 20 times and have yet to finish their menu and cannot find anything we don’t like. You do have to wait just a little while, but well worth it
Puffy Tacos!!!. Got the puffy taco plate for lunch and was impressed. pure tasty greasy goodness. Went back later for breakfast tacos and not so impressed…much better around for the price.
