Amazing!!! There were tons of items to choose from! Everything on my plate was delicious.. Chicken tenders cooked to perfection and the sauces were so tasty! We’ve been in San Angelo for 3 months.. Jose M was the best server we’ve had in this entire town!! We will be back!
The food is usually great and very reasonably priced but the service is almost always awful. We visited a couple days ago, and almost our entire order was incorrect or not cooked right. The server was not knowledgeable about her job. My husband ordered a steak, and she asked us if she was supposed to find out how he wanted it cooked. Coincidentally, it was very well done, not medium rare as he asked for it. He didn’t get any of the sides he asked for. My edamame was not fully cooked and not seasoned at all. I told her all of this. My husband was irritated and didn’t want to wait for them to cook another steak. She brought me a sauce cup of dry seasoning to dump on the edamame, which did nothing to affect the taste. The waitress did not alert a manager that there was an issue and offered us nothing but a halfhearted apology. She also bugged the heck out of us the entire time. I have never in my life complained about a server being too attentive until now, but she literally interrupted us every 1-2 minutes to see if everything was ok. By the end of the meal, it was downright irritating to not be able to get more than a few words out without being constantly interrupted. We wanted to order dessert, but she dropped the ticket without asking. She was obviously not trained well.
1st time of many. I’ll be back here regularly. I doubt I can grocery shop and cook for less than I can eat here. I heard it was a pretty inexpensive place to eat, but can say I was really surprised when I got my check. Well done, Cheddars.
I love the food but the service is so poor that we rarely go in. I always found it irritating that if you order an alcoholic drink it takes at least 20 minutes to get it. So it was unbelievable when I found out that the drinks are made in mass quantities every morning and all the bartender does is pour it in a glass when you order. How can it possibly take that long when everywhere else in town makes their drinks fresh and you can get it in under 3 minutes!?
Average. Just a run of the mill place to eat. Service was poor, server did not write down our order, so of course it got messed up. Food is just average fare. Anout a 5 rating out of 10.
Cheddar’s is amazing! I love their chicken pot pie and their catfish! Their lunch portions are great I can just imagine their dinner portions.
Service is hit and miss at a table. Always good if you sit at the bar. Food is pretty consistent as is expected for a chain. I do not recommend the chicken fried steak, the meat is tough and the breading slides off. The chicken pot pie seems to have shrank in size from what I remember and lacks in the flavor and heartiness it once had. Tasted like a canned chicken base over tons of chopped carrots with a scarce amount of chicken. Recommend ribs and chicken tenders as they never disappoint.
