We got there around 7 pm on a Friday night. The person taking our order obviously didn’t want to be there. Bad attitude. Treated us like we are stupid because we had questions about the menu. Same employee had her boyfriend and son come in, she yelled at her boyfriend for not bringing her cigarettes. Just want you want to hear while waiting for your food. They were also out of their signature style chicken, and showed no sympathy when we showed our disappointment. The girl taking our order was annoyed that there were customers in the store. At 7 pm. On a Friday. I know they close at 8, but it was 7 pm. On a Friday. This could be a really good place if they did something about the customer service. We won’t be back.
Great Fried Chicken. After moving to San Angelo, from the southeastern U.S., I had a hard time finding a good fried chicken. I ran through the drive-through at Rooster’s when running late back to work and was quite impressed with the chicken tenders (rooster-style/original), the mashed potatoes with brown gravy (I only seem to get white gravy everywhere else), and delicious sweet cole-slaw (looked home-made). A good first experience and I plan on visiting again for bone-in chicken and the other delicious sounding sides.
It really bothers me when restaurants charge for condiments like BBQ sauce; and this one does. The food just isn’t that great. But the jalapeo pasta salad is really good. If I ever go there it’s for that.
Fixins yes, Chicken no. The problem with owning a restaurant is, no one cares about the quality of your product as much as you do…Even your employees. Everytime (two times) I’ve been there it seems like they don’t care if the chicken is any good or not! And its NOT. It was overly salted, soggy, and had not been cooked/fried long enough at all. On the up side, it’s not expensive and the sides are very tasty.
Finger Licking Good !. Rooters, Yum ! Tastes way way Better than KFC and priced Great for my wallet and thats with sides !
