Consumer of BBQ. Best chopped brisket sandwich EVER!!! Add the potato salad, pickles and beans on the side and it is heavenly! The kids and I visit here 2-3 times each time we are in town. Love the SMOKEHOUSE!
UGGGGG!!!. My husband and I saw this little BBQ place while we were shopping at Bealls. When we went in we started not to stay but decided to give it a try. The ladies serving the food do NOT wear gloves and they handle your food. The place looks dirty maybe just because it’s so old but uggggg, there was a bandaid on one ladies finger! The food was not good. The chopped meat I had tasted old , maybe soured. I didn’t finish it and the sausage my husband had was a greenish color on one side. The bill was over $18 for 2 people and we didn’t even eat. Lesson learned, If it looks bad, it probably is!
Classic. This is classic West Texas BBQ. It might not fancy or on a main thoroughfare, but it’s solid good brisket and sausage with good sides. When I choose where my family gets BBQ, this is where we go.
Maybe good 20 years ago. Maybe they were good 20-30 years ago when the village was the main shopping area of the city, but now, probably because they have so little business, the bbq is old. and old brisket is bad brisket.
