Getting better. The folks who now own the restaurant ate really working hard improve. Great steak, great service and the German potatos are awesome. I think they even got new carpet.
My family & I were in town getting ready for a very busy weekend & wanted to sit and enjoy a mwal so we went to the Western Skies … As we parked it looked very uncomfortable as if we were going to get robbed in the parking lot, but as we entered we were greeted by a very nice young lady. We waited for about 5-10 minutes to get sat, which wasnt to bad considering how busy they were. Our waitress was quick and very friendly & went by the name Amanda. We started off with some west tx onion rings, were they good you could tell that they were freshly hand made. Were order the KC 2 & it was an amazing amount fir my family, it was tender and cooked great. I will be returning there for the great service & awesome food. Just shows the saying is true… DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITs COVER!!!
Good Food. I’ve eaten here several times over the years and anytime we’re in San Angelo, we eat at Western Skies. Our favorites are the chicken fried steak with white gravy (not that orange stuff Henry’s serves!), fajitas, and steak of course. Hamburgers are also awesome! Don’t go expecting awesome atmosphere …. this place has been around forever and they haven’t done anything to the decor since it was built (I’m guessing in the 50s)!!
Have eaten here for years and enjoy the chicken fry, catfish and steaks. Great consistency. Best fries of nearly all the local restaurants. Fast service all times of day.
Very friendly people. Place has the smell of sewer gas. The steak was tough, and the service was very poor.
Nothing to brag about. Was told how amazing this place was by a friend. I wasn’t impressed. The atmosphere is very low scale, salad served was possibly out of the bag. The mexican food was ok, but that’s probably the only postitive thing I can think to say about this place.
A Good Place to eat!!!. My first experience here was so so … the next was VERY GOOD!!! This could poosibly be the best tasting garlic enrobed steak in San Angelo.The servers were very good… the kitchen may have been a little slow BUT once the vittles got to the table, we didin’t look up til our tummies we full.
