Finally, a Mexican restaurant that knows how to cook retried beans! We had attentive service by the staff and the food did not disappoint. We will return for sure.
We had a family dinner there and really enjoyed it. The food was great and the restaurant was apparently the same as it was many decades ago! The manager was very kind and spent some time talking with us. Great experience and highly recommend it.
The food at La Fonda is good and consistent. Have been here often and the food is always good.The enchilada plates are ok. I would recommend going for a more traditional meal like the carne guisada or the chile rellenos.
The food is here is average Mexican Food and a little pricey. With all of the great Mexican restaurants in San Antonio this place can be skipped for many better choices you can find on Trip Advisor.
I had a meeting with a client and we had the Monday Special which was Soft Chicken Tacos. Yummy. Their table salsas are also very favorable. Great place for lunch with a really nice bar area.
We decided on La Fonda because it was convenient location. We will be back because of the great food and service.
