Roger the owner is a crook. He stiffed my band. Did not pay us our share of the nights take. Not one cent. We sold tickets. We brought people in. We gave him the money. We played. Then at the end of the night we got nothing. Guy is crooked.Furthermore Roger lied to the show promoter and told them we sold zero tickets. I handed him all the cash myself. I only recently found out from the promoter that Roger lied about our ticket sales. Roger is a straight up liar and a cheat. I would not give one cent of my money or time to this backstabbing crook.If I’m lying I’m dying.
Over Booking. Went to a concert this Saturday 5/3/14 to watch American Swindle and paid for the tickets. There were a total of 4 band plus the main event with Filter. Each band had to sell tickets, American Swindle brought in 44 tickets at 20$ each . When we walking in at 8:30PM there were no bands on stage, they seemed to be doing a sound check. About 9:45 we heard from the band that they were cut as well as 2 other bands because the sound system wasn’t working. This venue is a play get paid and if the main event goes on there is no refund for the ticket holders. They had to of known that they had over booked. They continued to do sound checks until 10ish and when they put a band up. What really the sound system is working now. 18th Street Bar and Grill is not an honest venue and they cheat their bands. I highly recommend not giving them any money!!!!

Service is terrible; all of the servers and bar tenders I have me are completely rude and don’t seem to know what they’re doing. It takes forever to get drinks and the kitchen always seems to be backed up. The prices of drinks double when a band comes on. Please, spare yourselves the time, money, patience, and sanity. Don’t go to 18th Street Pier
Went to 18th St Pier for the first and LAST time last night to celebrate 3 birthdays. There ended up being 12 of us. We had to sit outside the smoke was so bad. It was nice outside BUT THERE IS NO SERVICE OUTSIDE AND IT TOOK FOREVER TO GET A DRINK AT THE BAR!!! This place has a SERIOUS management problem!!
Great local bar. Great place. If you’re from Houston, stay in Houston. We don’t want you down here anyhow. Either that or don’t come down here expecting it to be like a Houston bar.
Horrible service, horrible waitstaff. I brought my mother, my aunt and my girlfriend there for lunch. Our waitress arrived ( forgot her name) took our order, came back with drinks, and she never returned. I had to get up and get refills for us 4 different times. At no point in time did she ever seemed concerned with our table. Her excuse for not coming to our table was because she is the bartender and not used to serving tables. This place has received some very bad reviews and I just can’t understand why ownership, management or the employees take these reviews, read them, and make appropriate changes.
Great food and Service!. My wife and I come here every tuesday and thursday for dinner. The steak and shrimp are wonderful and for the price, you really can’t beat it. The location is beautiful. On tuesdays we sit at the bar and thursdays we sit at a table. We love being waited on by Lauren. She is very sweet and seems to be a hard worker. She never lets our drinks go empty, there’s always another one there right when we need it! I recommend this place to everyone! The cooks really know what they are doing in there. We have never had any bad food! I felt the need to write this review after reading the last two, I don’t believe either one, Lauren has always been a great bartender and waitress. I not only get waited on by her but I watch her with her other customers. They all seem to enjoy her service and company!
