Great dinner at Topwater Grill. Excellent service and food was delicious. Fried shrimp and jalapeo hush puppies! Fries might have been a little too crunchy for me, but everything was really good. If I get back in the area, I’ll be back.
Friends rave about this place so maybe it was just an off day. Had a party of 8 and were seated within 30 mins which is good for a Friday night. Unfortunately, it took over 1.5 hours for our food to arrive. Everyone else’s fish looked good. My shrimp brochette had charred bacon, was extremely overcooked and has been sitting on a bed of black beans for so long that they had soaked up the bean flavor. All in all a disappointing experience, that being said, prices were reasonable and I would probably give it a second chance.
Awesome!!! All grilled oysters were amazing. Blackened catfish with touffe and the shrimp brochette were AMAZING. The setting is on the water with a nice view of the bay.
Last visit. Went to the Top Water last night around 8pm. Wait staff was as good as I remembered but the food was deplorable. The food was served below luke warm temp. The wait on the food was apx. 20 min. The food was expensive. I ordered the grilled fishermans platter and a cup of gumbo which I shared with my wife. Neither one of us ever intend to return there again. My wife thinks that the crab cakes are made form Stove Top Dressing…did not seem to have any crab meat in it at all, certianly could not taste it. The scallops were basically ‘sushi’, did not stay on the grill long enough to cook, just seared on the outside. The three shrimp on the plate were flavorless, as well as the fish pieces on the plate.never going back
A favorite with all our friends. The food is amazing and the drinks are great. We have never had a disappointing meal or experience at Topwater!
Absolutly love it!!!!!!!!!!!. Inside and outside dining… but love the outside its more peaceful with the aromatics of the sea with a wonderful atmosphere to it. The food is amazing the shrimp coctail has the biggest shrimp ive ever seen and the herb crusted chicken is amazing. Love the popcorn shrimp app. and so much more to love about this place.. Been here many times and the food and prices are great.
