Excellent! Well worth the side trip. While we ate lunch, we discussed reasons how we could justify a 2 – hour drive back! Their secret: homemade buns and fresh beef!!
A favorite lunchtime dive. Great burgers and chicken (grilled & fried) served up hot and fresh. Even a minor slip-up like mayo instead of mustard is remedied immediately and sometimes, above and beyond, like a free meal coupon for your next visit. $1 drinks, all-you-can-eat nights and the 50s decor make this joint even better.The burger buns & fresh pies, brownies and cookies are delivered daily from the owners’ mother’s place next door, Mom’s Bakery. Best buns in town!! The hamburgers are awesome! When in Sherman, you must eat at M G’s. It’s a Sherman tradition.
Good Eats. Hands down the best burger I’ve ever had! So much so, that I think the cooks should be tipped! Not saying the service was bad at all, in fact, they are some of the most polite waitresses I have ever encountered. Home made buns and fresh cut fries, you can’t beat that. Add to the fact that the meat is cut fresh daily, I don’t know what else you could ask for in a burger establishment. I barely had room for desert but when I did, I got the pineapple upside down cake. It’s just like my grandma used to make when I was a young whipper snapper! If you are ever in Sherman and need to grab a quick bite to eat I would highly suggest MG’s.
I am trying to understand why this place has so many good reviews. The food is bad, the fries were soggy, the hamburger was okay, the chocolate fudge pie was disgusting,the place is dirty and the staff is not polite. I will never go back and do not recommend it. High prices for bad food.
Best Burgers and Fries in Town! Can’t go wrong!. I love their burgers! Nice and crispy charred exterior and meaty-moist inside! The skin-on fries are awesome and nice and crispy as well! I’ll become a regular here real soon!
The service. I absolutely love the food here. Its one of my favorite spots. My family and I have been coming here for years but without fail we always get second class service. We always have to wait on food and beverage refills. The other tables get plenty of attention while our table always gets looked over. Im not clear on why but it ruins my mood after a while. Im a great tipper and I donr make a fuss about the bad service but enough is enough. And the worst part is that its usually the manager who ignores us while she is very friendly w everyone else.
