I lived in Sherman for two years and always passed by Momos doughnut shop without stopping. A month ago I finally tried the doughnuts and they were great. I go almost everyday. The doughnuts are fresh and inexpensive. It is defiantly worth a try if you have not gone there.
I like Momo’s. The best part is the location. I like the painted windows. They have a tiny side room for eating in house, but everyone does take out. Service is lackluster to a bit robotic. It was off putting. I tried a spicy kolache. The dough around the sausage was too sweet. It over powered the flavors. I did like my apple fritter. The coffee was bad. I took two sips and tossed out the rest. I did give this place a thumbs up, but they could make it nicer if they gave a hoot and served a little better coffee.

People drive from all over the country for these donuts, so that should tell you something. The line snakes out the front door fairly often, but with two gals packaging and another two working the registers, it moves so quickly that the wait isn’t as long as you’d think it’d be.The donuts are plentiful and widely varied as the day is long. The basics are always available, but special creations are sold Fri-Sun only… including S’mores Oreo Cake, PB Cup, Strawberry Cheesecake and Butterfinger Bombs, to name a few. I wasn’t wowed by the donut holes and because of the lack of seating and room to move about inside, I’m giving them a 4. Plan on ordering to-go and carpool if you can! mybakingheart.com
