One of my most favorite places for sushi. Hibachi here is good, too, but it will take you a good hour to order, watch the preparation and eat. With the sushi bar, you’re in and out in 20-30.I’ve had a craving for California Rolls lately, so I’ve stopped by here three times in the past two weeks. Twice on a Saturday night and once at lunch on a Wednesday. Take-out was incredibly fast, considering it was at a busy hour – I really only waited 3-4 minutes and I was on my way back to work. mybakingheart.com

Crappy restraunt and crappy service. This plane’s service is absolutely terrible when u eat sushi. Took my parents out for a treat, waited 2 hours, no drink refills until we asked the desk, and when we finally got our food, it was cold when we ordered shrimp fried rice which is hot. Save your money because when you get your check, your gonna end up paying for crappy service and cold food which is $100.

Very good. The sushi chef is very good and polite, but other staff seem to try to get in his nerves because they don’t do what they are supposed to do. However , food is great!

Good food, terrible wait staff. Honestly, the sushi (and the food in general) is a lot better than what I would think you could get in Sherman. It’s a little on the spendy side, but it’s fairly comparable to other sushi/hibachi restaurants in the McKinney/Plano area. We almost always sit at the sushi bar, which is a fun and causal experience. The Mt. Fuji, shaggy dog roll, spider roll, tiger roll, and spicy king crab are some of our favorites. I will warn you, the wait staff here is terrible. After going to Tokyo on a semi-regular basis for the past three years or so, I’ve only had a couple of waitresses who were actually attentive. We once went to Tokyo, and waited 20 minutes for the waitress to pick up the card to cash us out; eventually, we gave up and left cash (no tip). She walked past our table several times over the 20 minute period, we made eye contact with her, and eventually tried to wave her down (which I hate doing). We finally ended up digging through our wallets and saw that we had just enough cash to cover the bill with a small amount of change leftover, so that’s what we did.Moral of the story: Go for the food and the sushi/hibachi chefs, but it’s safe to plan on poor service from the waitstaff.

Frequent Eater at Tokyo’s. So this restaurant is always a 50/50. Sometimes it is really good, sometimes it is really bad. I depends when you go. If you go on a Friday night at 7pm when it’s super crowded from the dinner rush, you won’t be happy. If you go for lunch of say, a Monday night, it will be better. It’s like Ihop. if you go on a Sunday morning, the service and food will be lacking. If you go during a not so busy time, chances are you will get better service. I eat at Tokyo’s about once a month and it always changes from a variety of different problems to none at all. All in all, on a good non- busy day the food is amazing. Service is always lacking though (waiters and waitresses, not the chef) and acts as if they don’t care. Be prepared to be served by snotty college kids.
