Small but good restaurant serving Indian food near NRG park area. Affordable buffet. Serves 2-3 sweet dishes. Mix of veg and non veg dishes in buffet. I tried bhindi, Palak Paneer, Palak Chana, Dal Tadka, Rice, Veg Biryani, Nan bread, Aloo Gobhi, Fruit Salad, Gulab Jamun and Gajar ka Halwa! All delicious! Go for it!!
I was really pleased with my chicken vindaloo. I asked for extra hot and they obliged. Great portion size, no fat or gristle on the chicken chunks, sauce was amazing. The basmati rice was cooked to perfection. Also had some chicken tikka masala from there. Excellent food. Will be visiting frequently. Prices also very reasonable. Only negative is that they charge for individual pappadums, rather than throw some in complimentary, whereas many other Indian restaurants offer them as part of a meal, along with chutney dipping sauces. This aside, it’s great value for money and authentic Indian food is a winner.
A hidden gem!. I rarely write review, but could not resist giving a thumbs-his to this restaurant. I accidentally discovered this place on the net and decided to try their Sunday lunch buffet which I thought would be a good sampler. Firstly, it is a small, unassuming little restaurant, so don’t be dissuaded by it’s appearance. The dishes were predominantly Kerala style with a couple of Mughlai dishes thrown in. Absolutely loved their Chettinad goat curry, fish Moilee and their melt-in-the-mouth reshmi chicken tikkas! Their sambar is probably the best I’ve tasted in town! The aapams were delightfully fluffy. We ordered their Kerala parotas and they were so fresh and flaky. The vegetarian fare was very flavorful as well. Loved the pumpkin dish and their raw banana curry. To all foodies, give this place a try. It’s pretty convenient for Sugar Land and Missouri City residents. Will definitely return and order from their menu this time.
Surprisingly good. Was searching for Coconut Lagoon (Heritage India Cusine) in the area and found out that the place was closed. Didnt have patience to drive around..and this was the first INdian restaurant that I could see in my GPS. On entering in the restaurant I was like, this is a bad choice. The place looked small. Balaji (of Hillcroft) style tables and the look wasnt that promising.Misus was very hungry and thus we thought we will give it a try. I was in for a nice surprise. The waiter- I think he is one of the few employees the hotel had – Suvin, was very nice and spoke very sweetly. I have had a bad ‘response’ from such size restaurants towards its India customers – as if they dont give a damn – and this was not the case with Suvin. 100 points for his cordial responses.Next, the food was awesome. Sambar and the chutney were out of the world. The prices werent very cheap but were not too high either. We had a chettinad platter, Palak paneer, Coconut rice and Masaladosa.I liked the Sambar so much that I wanted to know if it was from some recipe they held as a secret. Suvin honestly said that they use a sambar powder they buy in indian groceries. I will not say the brand’s name here. Go ask him ;)Next time I will try the lunch buffet on sunday. Suvin recommended that.
Don’t let the ambience turn you off, food and service is great. Try their chettinad veg curry. Awesome. Also quite reasonably priced.
LAWRENCE. Best Indian food I have ever had!! Great service and attention to detail. Everything on the menu is made from scratch daily and is authentic Indian cuisine. Wide variety of selection on the menuGood authentic Indian food. If you’re in the mood for Indian, worth trying.
