Lost their touch. I had eaten at Otto’s a few times and decided to go back in late nov 2012 my mistake I took customers, the food was horrible, the brisket was cold and when you ate it, it had the very distinct smell and taste of lighter fluid, the ribs were cold or old and just heated in steam pan I wont be back

I completely disagree with the negative reviews!. I lived in this area for almost 10 yrs and BY FAR Otto’s has the most tasty, delicious Texas bbq every time I came!! The atmosphere is GREAT for lunch especially and or dinner and they have TVs spread out to watch as you eat. The pork ribs are delish (with a nice brown sugar sweetness to them) and almost fall of the bone! Everything else taste excellent too including the sausage, brisket and side order veggies! On the weekends the parking lot is usually filled with classic American hot rods from the 1950’s and 60’s. I LOVE this place I don’t care what you say! I never had a bad experience eating here the many times I visited. My personal favs are a full order of pork ribs or the George Bush Platter (a ribs, sausage, brisket and sides order).

Dirty with sticky tables. If you can get past the dirtiness and cashiers that understand English, the barbecue is good. Definitely not going back.

Notto’s Ain’t What it Used to Be. The burgers and BBQ at the old Otto’s on Memorial were never fantastic, but they were good. But this Stafford location leaves everything to be desired. The brisket is way too dry and the pork ribs are not good. The link sausage is really fatty, but is very flavorful. The vinegar-based BBQ sauce is not too bad. The beans are awful but the potato salad is OK. The pecan pie sucks. The 1/2 pound Angus burger has NO ooze factor or flavor. I see no reason to return.

NOT FRESH, NOT HOT, NOT CONSISTANT. Two trips to Otto’s in Stafford left me certain that I will never return.First trip-Lunch mid week I ordered the President Bush Plate with Ribs, Brisket and sausage. Sides were potato salad and broccoli rice casserole. Ribs were cold, tough on the outside either steamed or boiled, no color/carmelization and NO SMOKE RING. And the fat inside was white and cool to the touch. Sausage and brisket didn’t seem smoked either but they were edible. Potato salad was sickly sweet(and I’m a sweet mustard potato salad gal) so I traded for green beans, which were pretty good.Broccoli rice casserole was pretty good. My companion had the Club House sandwich and other than the lack of any mayonnaise and the bread being BARELY toasted, she was satisfied with the real sliced meat (not lunchmeats) inside.Second meal-weeknight dinner. I ordered the half smoked chicken, green beans and mac& cheese. The chicken was somewhat off color/some black on the skin and obviously not fresh but partially reheated. It was definately not smokey and no pink smoke ring.I couldn’t eat the green beans because they were super salty. The mac & cheese was very one dimensional and stodgy. Just too thick processed cheese food (not velveeta) and overcooked pasta. My companion said the chicken tenders were ok, but just frozen Sam’s club quality. I brought the chicken up to the counter on my way out, and told the staff that it should never have been served, as it was obviously not fresh, nor even reheated thoroughly. And I suggested to him that someone on staff taste the green beans, because they were way too salty. I would think they would have standardized recipes so the food would be consistent…and at the very least, tasted when prepared to assure quality before service to customers. The counter staff asked if I wanted anything else, but I didn’t want anything fried, or a burger/sandwich so I declined. This place is….Not fresh…Inconsistent…and just bad Q!!I will drive the distance and only eat Q at BAKERS RIBS!!No place else compares!!!!

Yumm. We have enjoyed Otto’s in Stafford for many years. Lori must have it confused with another Otto’s as this one has never closed and has great food. Can’t get enough because there is so much to choose from.
