We stumbled on this place after visiting the Nebraska Furniture Mart. What a great surprise to find such a great little restaurant in a very bland shopping center. The street tacos were great and the guacamole was made fresh to order and the chips were warm. My husband had the brisket taco plate and it was excellent. The flour tortillas were grilled and very tasty. We would come back in a heartbeat.
Absolutely best tex mex in the area. I’ve come here every morning/afternoon for breakfast or lunch for almost a year and will continue to as long as I can despite living a city away. The store encompasses a hole-in-the-wall gem. This restaurant will be on the food network eventually.
Emalia’s = 5 Stars All the Way!!. Great place! Good People! Unbelievable food! Been going there since they opened. Best chips & salsa around! These guys are great chefs. Crispy tacos are to die for. Anything they make with their brisket is incredible. Brisket tamales are wonderful and I don’t even like tamales in general, but theirs are outrageously good. It’s not on the menu, but if you like a good burger, ask Fernando to make you his mexican bacon cheeseburger. Wow! Hard to beat anywhere! Also, not on the menu, but ask for Big Mike’s Texas Tornadoes! (stuffed chicken w/ jalapeno peppers & cheese wrapped in bacon and grilled to perfection). Your taste buds will thank you for them!
FABULOUS FOOD. Emelia’s Chile Relleno is the absolute best in the DFW area. Not greasy as it is baked and loaded with cheese. The bake it just long enough for it to be hot and cheese melted, yet the chile remains a little al dente. Just the way I like it. My husband loves their tacos. He’s tried both the shrimp and brisket tacos and they’ve been delicious each time we dine at Emelia’s.We drive up to The Colony from North Dallas and it’s definitely worth the drive. We’re trying to make this a weekly event.Keep up the great work Jaime!
AWESOME. The same guy has been there every time we go and he is very nice. The food is fresh and authentic and the prices are reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place
The worlds best brisket!. Emelias tex mex has quickly become the only place I eat lunch at. The food is insanely good. Every meal I’ve ordered has been better than the last. Even though all I ever order is the brisket burrito, it always seems to get bigger and better. Me and my girlfriend go up there quite regularly, and Fernando the chef/owner has even remembered what vegetables she doesn’t like on her plate. He caters to her vegetarian needs! Aside from that the deserts are amazing. I could probably eat a flan every minute of every day if I had the chance, he also makes a Tres Leches that is the talk of the town. Now, back to the basics, all the meals come with salsa and chips, these are made to order. From spicy hot to the mildest mild, you ask and they’ll deliver. I have never had a bad experience and I doubt I ever will.
