Just like back home…. For anyone who lived in or around San Diego, the taco shops in Texas and Oklahoma are just not like they are back home, but this one is! I had tacos mt wife had rolled tacos and we got 3 burritos for the ride back to OKC. Burritos are huge food has great flavor and for a moment I was back in So-CA. I’m in Texarkana 3-4 times a year, I WILL be eating there for all my visits.
Best in Texarkana. If you want *authentic* Mexican food in Texarkana, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is casual–the TV usually has a Spanish-language show on and sometimes the manager’s kids are doing their homework at one of the tables. It’s one of those kind of places–no pretensions; friendly, efficient service; and great Mexican food! Take some time to review all the menu selections or if you have a fav dish, ask them if they can prepare it even if you don’t see it on the menu wall. My fav is the 3 rolled tacos plate but the camarones diablo is also excellente!
PS- they are on Summerhill just north of college in a strip mall25 Jul, 2011Pork tacos were greasy and fatty. It’s def more of an authentic Mexican experience, so if you’re into that you may enjoy. I will probably go back and try a burrito.
It might have been good…we will not find put today. Wrong address, not on State Avenue. Spent 30+ minutes looking for it, then called; they are on Summerville?
BEST BURRITO EVER!. My friend had been raving on and on about this place. It looks like a hole in the wall but the food is to die for! We ordered the small burrito to split-and I see why he wanted to split it! They make it in a 17 in burrito and stuff it full of goodies! We got the California burrito..and it was fabulous. I’ve only been there once so I can’t suggest anything to order, but I will be going back very soon!
