Country home cooking. Live in Texarkana for 37 years dixie diner, state line my fav for years now nash is near and eat there as often as possible/ wife love it when her brothers or mine are in townwetreatthem there ofton
Southern comfort food. Some from a can – some homemade. Never had anything I or my wife didn’t like. Get the BIG BOY…nuff said.
Down Home Cookin. Homemade rolls were great. I had chicken fried steak which was very good. My friend had the fried talapia which he said was great. Black eyed peas and mashed potatoes were very good. Only concern is that things seem to be $1 or $2 over priced for the size of serving. But I will be back. VERY friendly wait staff.
Well the service is allways very good here, but the Restaurant is filthy, who still uses carpet for the floor in a restaurant?? The carpet had food stains and i bet that is where the dusty moldy smell is comming from, The food was average but the rolls were good. Tea tasted a bit like soap and what were all those foamy bubbles at the top of my tea glass, oh well, would eat here again maybe, but not going to be a regular..Hey Dixie Diner Management-please clean your darn restaurant once in awhile, thank you!
Homemade rolls & cornbread. Wonderful fluffy & hot dinner rolls and cornbread come with the order. The large glasses of sweet tea and bread make it worth going, I have had chicken fried steak, chicken, pot roast, chicken & spaghetti, meat loaf, hamburgers, and even catfish. This is home cookin right down to the homemade mashed potatoes and gravy. Green beans are seasoned very well here. Not at all bland like some restaurants. Most dinners range in price from $7 to $10. Last time I went was back in . he summer. A burger and homemade fries was about $6. Oh, and they have a really good banana pudding!!
Was good been a few time only problemWas one time my tea had a bleach taste to it other than that last time I had he grilled tuna it was great and I love the rolls over all ill give them a grease of B+
A dry burger & not so so salad . Not on my got to go again places.
