The food was just okay. I’ve had worse and I’ve had much better. I ordered the chicken fajita quesadillas with rice and beans. There was a green olive in the beans, which was weird because I ate it expecting it to be a jalapeo.
Old Fashion Cheeseburger. Hamburger meat had a great taste, as did the cheese. French fries were also very good.19 Dec, 2014Average Tex Mex. The cheeseburger was surprisingly good, as were the French fries that came with it. But who goes to a Tex Mex restaurant for a cheeseburger? The chicken fajitas were average, with not much lettuce and tomatoes to go with it, but it did have plenty of fried onions. There was an average portion of chicken strips, refried beans, and rice with the fajitas. They were nothing to text or Facebook about. My wife had a grilled chicken salad with a decent amont of grilled chicken, with two dressing choices. Plain ranch or melted cheese. She tried both and neither was good. What happened to the pink salad dressing with a little spice. If you order the grilled chicken salad, be sure you bring your own salad dressing to put on it. If you want to eat at TaMolly’s in Texarkana, I suggest you go across town to the one on highway 82 in Texarkana, Arkansas.
Good place to eat. My sister and I ate there New Year’s Eve. I had never been there, and was pleanantly surprised. The place was so clean, and the service was awesome. Also, the food came out fast, and tasted great! Prices were reasonable. I would go back, and would recommend it to anyone.
There was a lot of drama caused when I asked the kitchen to sub beans for meat on my tacos. I’m a vegan. Most Mexican places will do that. The apitizer was a ripoff very small. I went down the road and ate at subway. I won’t be back
Great Weekday Specials – Easy on the wallet.. The food at Tamolly’s is very good; I generally get the enchiladas, and I find their salsa to be very fresh, just about the best in town. It’s Tex-Mex so you can get chili con carne on everything (yah)! Their service is WAY faster than any other dine-in restaurant in town, and I have ALWAYS had wonderful experiences with the servers. I’ve noticed that a lot of their employees have been there since they opened back in the late 90’s (I think), so I’m thinking they must be a decent employer as well, since most other restaurants have high turnovers. The prices are very reasonable, and if you catch one of the weekday specials, a family of 3 can get out of there under $20 (possibly not including the tip, of course)…nothing short of a miracle these days. The only con is that they don’t serve margaritas, but then again, sometimes it’s nice to go to a restaurant with your child and not have loud, drunken idiots encircling you.If you’re one of those foodie snobs that thinks every Mexican joint should be 100% authentic then this isn’t your kinda place… But, if you like Tex-Mex and a decent meal at a decent price with fast service this is your place.
Very bland. If you like real Mexican food, don’t eat here. High prices for mexican food, and not good.
Very good sour cream chicken enchiladas. Tamolly’s is a nice place to eat when you’re on a budget or simply want good food at a great price. Their Wednesday enchilada dinner special is very popular. Personally, I always have their sour cream chicken enchilada dinner and substitue in with one cheese enchilada. Hot sauce is very good as well as the white queso.
