I’ve dined here a dozen times; service is consistent and friendly. Food is always reliable and in alignment with traditional American Italian expectations. A popular local venue- great bar! Highly recommended among local venues!
This place is a treat to have in Tomball. I would pass on the salad but all else was good. The sauted shrimp and scallops were good but the serving size was small. The entrees were huge and very good. The desserts look real tasty but we did not have any room left after dining on the very good garlic bread and huge entrees. The service was very good. It was courteous and attentive. We will be returning and recommending.
Italian food in my opinion is very personal to like or dislike the taste more so than other cuisine. I enjoined the effort in the marinara sauce. Usually I don’t like chunks of tomato in my sauce but ate up every last bite of my spaghetti and meatballs. For the dollar the value was good and the garlic bread for te table was wonderful. The wait staff we had were great and the drinks never got half empty without a refill. I would recommend dinner here for some very good simple Italian and after I had the basics and they did great I would like to try some of their more difficult seafood pasta selections. They did a good job with my meal.
Genuine Italian. Excellent food with reasonable prices. Piano bar on weekends. Thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend Gianni’s.
Good food. We have visited for both lunch and dinner. For our lunch visit, it was two adults and two children. Be advised – there is no children’s menu. I opted to order one adult meal and split it between my two children. The enjoyed the food. The garlic rolls are fantastic and we were not disappointed with our entrees. However, upon receiving the bill, I was informed there was a fee for splitting the entree between my children. I think that is absurd, considering there is no child’s menu. When I questioned the manager, he informed me that I could have ordered a smaller portion for them. (almost 75% of the price for less than 1/2 the entree). He was not very helpful, and did not offer to take the fee off. However, as stated, the food was excellent and the service from our waitress was great. For our dinner visit, my husband and I went for a date night. We were very pleased, again, with the food. Service was wonderful, wine selection was great, and we had a very pleasant evening. I would definitely recommend this as a date night option!
Mediocre at Best. I have lived in the area for over 10 years. About once a year, we go back to this restaurant to give it another try. Service has never been great. Tattoos on waitresses, and she smelled like cigarettes. I had a Chicken Picatta Special last week. It looked like the dish was prepared in a blender with an overbearing taste of onion and artichokes then dropped on a blanched tasteless Chicken Breast. Guess I will try again next year.
Pig Slop. This restaurant is one step up from the pig pen. The slop they serve up as Italian cuisine is disgusting, the staff are indifferent and the manager has an attitude. Save the drive to Tomball, save your money and find a proper Italian restaurant if you are looking for authentic Italian food.
