Italian cuisine in the Hill Country!!!. I can only start out by saying WOW! The exterior display of this little Italian gem does not provide the EXCELLENT tasting Italian food justice. My wife and I were looking for a nice meal other than our typical selections around DS and I mentioned to my wife, let’s try Carmella’s and if anything our son will be able to enjoy a nice pizza. And from the attentive wait staff and service, then the food arrived. Ample servings, flavorful taste, we could tell that the ingredients of each of our food selections were made from scratch. Highly recommend this hidden Italian oasis :).
None. Carmela’s is a great place to go as a family or if you need a more adult night out. The food is fantastic and there’s a great menu variety for every one. We haven’t been were the wait staff wasn’t excellent as well. The owner had always came by our table to check on the service and food each time we’ve been. It is small so sometimes there is a wait but that’s everywhere…right.
More than just Pizza!!. My husband and I relocated to the Austin Hill Country area a few months ago. I was raised in a house with old school Italian food – Flavor,Family and a Full plate. Carmela’s has it all and more!! Cioppino is a Northern Cali/San Francisco treat and they make it fresh to order,pizza is thin crust with all fresh ingrediants and the pasta plates are enough to feed two. Live Italian Music – Pino will make you feel you are in Italy:)) Ciao Bella – Vicki

Great and Convenient. These ladies do a great job. Not just pizza, but the other entrees are supreme. A little Italian beer and/or a glass of really nice wine at reasonable prices adds a nice taste. And then there are the desserts. Nothing is bought from Sysco like lots of other places…pure, original Italian food ala Mama Carmela. If you anywhere near Bee Cave or Dripping Springs this place is worth a few extra miles. Stop by for something to eat after climbing the rocks at Riemers Ranch or Hamilton Pool.
Great Food!. I love their southwest pizza… such great unique flavors. And my husband loves their hamburgers:)
Wonderful! Finding such amazing and authentic Italian food at this location was a fantastic surprise. We will definitely be back soon!
