Best Bar-B-Que around. I’ve been eating RO’s Bar-B-Que since 2005! Their food is awsome! I love their Turkey. But the sauce is what makes it great! I eat there at least 1 or 2 times a week. Great food, location, & service. Sometimes I eat it there if it’s nice outside or I get it to go. I even order my ham & turkey from them for Thanksgiving, Christmas & Easter. Always good! Everyone loves it! My husband & son like the brisket & okra.

It’s no longer cash only. That has changed.26 Jun, 2011Loved the jalapeo black eyed peas, chicken fried steak with homemade gravy that tastes like Mom’s, and homemade chocolate pie. Best in Austin!26 Jun, 2011Wow! Easily the best homestyle/BBQ restaurant in all of Austin!!! Our favorite chicken fried steak, great BBQ, awesome homemade pie! Better than Bluebonnet Cafe! You’ve got to take your family to this little hole quickly or you’ll be like us…..regretting we just found it today!

Millionaires club. Well after going there for the first time since owning property in Spicewood for 30 years, I will be spending my money in Austin. $35 bucks buys you a pound of brisket, 2 pork ribs about 5 oz, a pint of slaw, potato salad and beans and then they charge $2 for a single side of sauce. Isnt sauce supposed to be a given when you get bbq or is that a new gimmick to make money. From now on Smokey mo/s and Vic/s are my best choices for bbq in or around Austin. Guess I’ll have to enjoy to go bbq instead of spending my money locally. Lucky there are a few places in Spicewood that are great places to eat but dont charge for the condiments with your food. Guess thats why they charge so much since they arent every busy whenever we drive by there everyday, got to make up for no business by charging outrageous prices.

R.O.’s PIE!!. Kathy bakes the best pies in the great State of Texas. Randy’s Barbeque is also the best.

Quintessential Texas Hill Country. Truly the most authentic experience in the Hill Country for BBQ. This place, once written up in Gourmet, has excellent pies, jalapeno beans, fried corn and ribs. These are not the extremely meaty kind, but the dark chili chocolate pork ribs of the true hill country. As this is in the heart of Willie country, musicians from all over drop in to take out. It is very much like being in the owner’s living room,as the owners do all the cooking and serving. I love this place.
