We made a reservation same day through Open Table because they were not open until 4pm. We received a confirmation call from the resturant about 15 min later! We had an early dinner 6:30pm, and our waiter, Brian was great. He let us know about a special complimentary wine tasting going on in the bar area and escorted us to the spot. We tasted wines for about 30 min and Brian escorted us back to our table. We ordered Bobby’s House Special and the crab cake with 7oz filet, both cooked medium rare and both were fantastic! They have a special steak oven that seers the steak to a slightly crunchy exterior and the interior was just perfect! The shrimp with the special was also perfectly cooked and the crab cake with mine was very good. The mashed potatoes were freshly made, not half boxed and had fresh like some restaurants. We also tried the flourless chocolate cake, another winner! We sat inside which was very quiet and more romantic with soft piano music. After dinner we walked out on the back porch area where there was a live band and we were glad we sat inside cause it was very noisy! The resturant is also filled with family photos and is like a museum of rodeo pictures and memorabilia. We will definitely eat here again. suruchisinghblog.wordpress.com
We were so disappointed with this restaurant 🙁 I am only giving it a 2.5 because the view and terrace deserve that but the rest was dreadful. A very stuffy and pretentious atmosphere for extremely poor food. We know good food and this was so substandard. Extremely overpriced for what it is. They need to overcome their inflated opinion of themselves and have a good rethink over the menu and overall experience . Patronizing hostesses and staff. We would never go again and would not recommend to anyone. Drive up to see the view but do not waste your money here.
My wife and I dined here for the first time. The food quality, service, decor and the view was excellent. We had the pork stuffed avocado appetizer. Great! We shared the Bobby Special 10 oz Filet topped with Crab meat and grilled jumbo shrimp seasoned beautifully! Alexandra served us perfectly!!!Danny and Kathryn GlennFort Worth, TX
On site for a work event. Side salad, prime rib, dessert. Prime rib is good, and I generally do not like it. Jus was on point. Bread pudding was fantastic. Only knock was that my wife’s creme brulee wasn’t crunchy enough.
Very good for special occasion. Service is excellent, knowledgable staff, great ambiance, great wine selection, you can’t go wrong here. Expect to pay $40-60 per person.
Our party of 8 had a great time at Steiner Ranch. Although the food was excellent, what made our night so enjoyable was the service provided by the staff, especially from our server, Derrick. (Aka Jerry but that’s an inside joke!). Steiner ranch is a great place to celebrate a special occasion-great atmosphere, delicious food, many laughs and lasting memories! We will return!!!
Go for the view, wait for the food. The site is great, the food, although expensive, is very good. Portions are generous. Servers are friendly and knowlegeable about the menus, but service is uneven, some servers being very attentive and others seeming to have forgotten us. There was a long wait for one of our party’s entree, and cocktails were served after the appetizer, as was bread. For a treat/special occasion, it’s a good lake area/Steiner Ranch venue, but not a destination restaurant yet, despite hang live music Reservations are a must.
