Yeah, i’d come back here in a heartbeat. 3 diners. Elk, boar and antelope burgers. All very good, boar best. Three smiles. Authentic Texas roadside joint. Marty Robbins, Joe Ely & others add to the experience. Skip the frozen fries & have a 2nd Shiner. Good job Bubba! ****
The F1 Burger!. OK…If you’re ready to tap into your Man -vs- Food genes then you must try the F1 Burger at Wild Bubba’s Wild Game Grill in Elroy Texas. This is a carnavores delight with a full pound of beef, bbq sauce, pickles and onions. I have to say it was the best burger I’ve ever eaten and it required a bit of strategy to consume this wild beast. If you’re up to it, Wild Bubba will build a special Wild version with Antelope, Yak and Wild Boar!
Wonderful food and a really interesting menu. The game burgers are a little more expensive than the chain burger joints (the highest priced was $12-$13) but are worth every penny and the trip. My husband ate two and a half burgers and I ate one and a half. They are great size burgers but we just couldn’t stop eating they were so good!!!
Excellent. Found this place through a friend. It’s *real* shady looking, located in an old gas station, not much parking, but man the burgers are awesome!Their specialty is exotic meats including buffalo, cabrito, antelope, axis venison, elk, kangaroo, elk with bear, and yak!I tried the Wagyu hamburger with rings. The burger was awesome. Not over cooked, and very tasty. I also tried the Wagyu chili which was in the top 3 chili’s I’ve ever eaten outside my own home. Others in my party had the axis venison and the buffalo chicken sandwich. Everyone was please with their food. Wild Bubba came over to our table to check on our food and we got to talking about the various meats he offers. He was kind enough to bring out some samples of each kind of meat and explain the differences. Super cool guy.I wasn’t real impressed with the onion rings, they seemed greasy, but the fries were good. When I go back, I’ll order fries. This place is a little drive out of town, but well worth the trip.
