This airy, open, rustic Texas style space has great food. I had the Sausage and Chicken Gumbo for lunch and it was so rich in flavor and the roux was a deep brown. Altogether an amazing taste sensation. Shop at Cole and Company after!!

First time at 1836 Texas Kitchen and I will be back. Great bar. Outstanding crawfish queso and chips!! Pork shank was fall-off-the-bone tender. Shrimp and grits a bit too soupy. Eclectic, cross-cultural menu worth a second (and third?) visit.
