Not so good. DO NOT GO FOR LUNCH!! You will be highly disappointed. Terrible service. Took over 20 minutes for someone to take my order. Another 30 mins to get my food.

I visited Breakers when it first opened and was very impressed with their delicious (if overpriced) seafood. However, I recommended it to a few of my friends and we went there more recently and I was horribly disappointed. The service was terrible! Our waiter acted like we were his first table to ever wait and our food took over an hour to come (we were the only ones there) and eventually we got tired of waiting and left seeking greener (more prompt) pastures

The service was below par. I waited 30 minutes for oysters on the half shell. I’ve ate oysters for many years and these oysters were far from fresh or palitable. The customer beside me at the bar who has never ate oysters even questioned the freshness of the food. Waitress was not accommodating to my concerns with the quality of the seafood, she wanted to argue that they are fresh from the gulf, the Persian gulf of you ask me. The joint has its own little crow of regulars, which are who receives service and accommodation. If you are into subpar service, poor food, and micro-brewery beer then you’ll fit right in. Ill take my business to Johnny Cases in Longview for the freshest oysters from now on and excellent service.

It was good. East Texas would not be my first choice when wanting seafood, but I have been there several times and like it.It is Saturday night as I write this and I went there for dinner tonight. Breakers happens to stay open late several nights a week, which seems unusual for a town the size of Tyler. Tonight they were open to midnight.I like specials and after that pm, they reduced the price of fresh lobster to $14.95 which included two sides and a salad. That strikes as very modest pricing. The lobster was plucked from the aquarium and freshly cooked for me so it took a little time for preparation. While waiting I noticed that the restaurant was packed, there was live music and the atmosphere was quite pleasant and lively. It might have been special occasion as I have only had lunch there previously. When the food was served, it well cooked and good though portions were not large. Also, the waitress did a very good job.On the downside, the table did slope, as someone else mentioned. That was not a deal breaker for me and I will go back again on another Saturday night.

Best seafood in Tyler. Crab cakes and Shrimp & Grits are tops!! I will be back for more.

Breakers. It’s off the beaten path a little, so it’s not the kind of place you just stumble into, but it’s definitely worth seeking out. Food is good, presentation is good, service is good. Its where I eat when Im in Tyler.

Good Food and Service!. Today for lunch was my first visit and I left having only 2 complaints. The first being that at 11am before the place fills up it is just too quiet. I wish their had been some music playing in the background. The second complaint, and this complaint was shared by my whole table that we wished we had coasters on the table for drinks. The glasses sweat all over the table and I would use my napkin but there is so much water that I dont want to get my clothes wet when I lay my napkin in my lap. Still, neither complain is a deal breaker since the atmosphere was great, the service was top notch and the food was awesome! I highly recommend the Breakers House Salad! Very simply, but very delicious!
