If you can get past the geriatric atmosphere (almost all their customers seemed to be about one step away from the Old Folks Home), then order the catfish with the salad bar for some really good eatin’. Coleslaw is fresh and crisp, but it’s the pickled tomatoes and honest to God genuwine pinto beans cooked in salt pork like memaw use to do it that really provides the best catfish sides of any restaurant in town. Stay away from the hush puppies – use to be round and delicious, but now are thin and long and they suck – and ask for double beans instead. Counter help are a bunch of sweet ol gals that treat you right.
