I went to cotton patch last night with my family and I was not impressed at all. I ordered the Cobb salad with chicken. It was very basic and the bacon bits were so hard I couldn’t chew them. I did not like it. The sweet tea tasted like unsweetened tea. My daughter had the Ceasar salad with salmon on it. I think she liked it. My husband had the chicken fried steak and he said it was great. Maybe I just ordered the wrong menu item. Hmm24 Mar, 2011Great seafood! Shrimp was excellent! Batter on shrimp was cornmeal and that made it very tasty. My daughter ate good and she is very picky. Our Server was Logan and he was great.

I love Cotton Patch Cafe in Tyler!. I really dont understand the bad reviews of this place. The food and service here has always been great for me. I went today in fact. My daughter got a club sandwich and tortilla soup. She loved both of them. I got the chicken and dumplings entree with squash casserole and broccoli. I dont know how they cook their broccoli but it is soooo delicious I could eat buckets of it!! Must have butter on it??!! If you order their tea make sure you get half sweet half unsweet because if you just order sweet it it just has waaaayyy too much sugar. My daughter also ordered chocolate cake and it was moist. I always look forward to eating here. Our waitress today was extremely nice and our food was brought out quickly. Love this place!

I have eaten at many cotton patches and tyler has to be the worse one. ya the food is okay but the people are not. The things that place gets away with its sad. What the servers dont understand is that if it werent for the customers they wouldnt have a job. They are rude to the customers and get away with it. Supposively within the past week or so Cotton Patch in Tyler has a new general manager. The short guy is still there and the loud girl manager is still there. You can sit anywhere in the resturant and hear everything going on in the kitchen. You can hear the loud lady yell at all the workers in the back. That places is a sorry excuse for a resturant.

What’s Going On?. I used to eat at Cotton Patch weekly but it seems they have a very high staff turnover, especially management. The last manager they had was friendly and made sure any problems were corrected. Now they have some guy who doesn’t even come out to visit tables and some short little guy who is very rude to guests. The staff doesn’t seem very happy. The food is good but I would enjoy my steak more with a glass of wine. They don’t offer any wine or beer which in this market is a big drawback. Would be nice if they would upgrade the interior also – it’s boring. It’s too bad they seem to be going downhill in the last three weeks…..I think I’m done with them. Food was good but it has been better in the past. Too bad – probably won’t be around much longer.

Cotton Patch in Henderson or Nacogdoches always seemed good to me. This one is horrible. Salads are mediocre, food is brought out cold and there is no flavor to anything. The stuffed mushrooms aren’t edible and the nachos are a joke – much better cooking can be made at home for same price AND have leftovers!

Way Overpriced. Good country food that’s not worth the price. C’mon, it’s your Grandma’s cooking, not Caviar! Brocolli and cheese casserole shouldn’t cost me an arm and a leg.

The food here is always tasty & fresh but the service is seriously lacking. The waiters are very rude and not helpful in the least. I will probably nit return bc of the poor customer service.
