We first tried this place many years ago. It has gone through ownership/management changes over the years and the quality has consistently gone downhill. The last time we went here about a month ago, they had started using a cheese-wiz type cheese in their dishes. Yuck! We haven’t been back since. I realize the need of restaurants to economize, but they are in the food business and when they start to cut corners on their product, they are cutting their own throats.
Mediocre. It is typical buffet quality. It’s good if you want to stuff yourself, but I’d rather get just one plate of GREAT quality food. The waitress was nice. There was a smell about the place…it didn’t seem as clean as I’d prefer.
Very good buffet. We accidental found it some years ago and it is still a favorite place to stop. New change: guacamole is not self serve any longer. You have to ask your server and they will bring the requested number of small pre packaged servings

Huge buffet!. Mexican food along the lines of a tacqueria…but with some TexMex and American favorites that gives El Mejicano broad appeal. At $8.99, that’s a little more than I’d generally want to spend for lunch…but that’s a competitive price for a buffet. Overall, you’ll not see this much variety in a buffet outside of a Chinese food restaurant. And be sure to save room for the dessert bar!
