This is the first hamburger place that I am aware of with Gluten Free hamburger buns. I’m not saying that there are no others in East Texas, I just don’t know of any. I know of a few restaurants that have GF sandwich/sub/bread (Subway/Schlotzsky’s). This was the first hamburger I’ve had in a restaurant since my Celiac diagnosis in February 2016. That might not seem long to you, but I use to eat quite a bit of fast food and restaurant hamburger. The burger and bun tasted great. They also have sweet potato waffle fries that are gluten free. They were good, too. The staff seemed especially well trained and attentive while I waited for my to go order. I believe a GF bun is $1.50 extra. Freshly ground hamburgers are going to cost more than the frozen fast food ones, so expect that cost and the GF option is more on top of that. I have no problem paying a little extra if a restaurant is willing to go the extra mile to accomodate a customer’s food allergies. I’m glad that I now have a GF hamburger option.*Disclaimer* I did not watch them while they prepared my food. If you have an allergy of some type, I will leave it up to you to make sure your order is prepared the way you want it. I don’t eat out very much now, as it requires a lot of trust and hope that the eating establishment understands your needs (this is a blanket statement, not just for the establishment in this Review).
