I love this place! The service is amazing here. Food so good you wouldn’t know it’s a buffet. Very attentive staff. Great comfort and soul food buffet always stocked
Hostess and wait staff were cordial and most helpful. The food was terrible. My wife and I had thought some of the other restaurants of this sort had gone down hill, but this one is absolutely the worst. We have eaten at many places, some while I was driving over the road (Mostly truck stops), but I would not stop at this one to eat even if it meant going hungry. If the personnel were a reflection of the quality of the food, this place would be shut down. As it is, I don’t see how they stay open now. Believe me; you can get much better food anywhere else in town. I do wish the food was as good as the staff. If it were, this placed would have a rating of at least 8.5.
Sour experience at Sweet Sue’s. Went for the breakfast buffet and was very disappointed, though our waitress was very friendly. The sausages and eggs were overcooked and hard, biscuits unedible, and the pile of pancakes was completely torn into shreds and never replaced. I ended up with very little to put on my plate because everything looked unappetizing. The buffet line is basically variations on fried foods, with a few of bags of store-bought bread, bagels and General Mills cereals thrown on a nearby table with a toaster. The whole set-up reminded me of the remains of a crappy free hotel breakfast buffet at 8:55 p.m.
Great Home Style Buffet. Good home style food with a very friendly wait staff. Sweet Sue’s has been a Tyler staple for over 18 years. The breakfast buffet is very popular on weekends. Owner Bruce Bedard welcomes you to come have some great comfort food. Catering & banquet rooms available.
